My name is Pap. I’m studying to earn a Master’s Degree in Chemistry at Chiang Mai University.

Before I became a Christian, I knew a little about Jesus but I was not interested until I came to The Centre to study conversational English. At that time I got to know my teacher, Junior. He tried to tell us about Jesus for 2 or 3 weeks, but I didn’t understand what he was trying to tell me. I thought in my mind, “What does he want to tell us? I don’t understand! I want to learn English.” But then he asked us “What is the meaning of life?” That question made me stop and start to think, “What am I doing right now? Why?” It was a very hard question for me.

On the last day of class before Junior left he asked P Opal to come to the classroom and explain the Gospel in Thai. That day I opened my heart to Jesus and accepted Him into my life. The next day I was reading the Bible but I could not understand it. I prayed that if it was God’s will that I know more about Him He would have P Opal call me. Then I went into the other room. When I came back I saw that P Opal had called! When I went to see P Opal on Monday I asked her, “Am I crazy right now? I feel like someone is always looking after me and protecting me.” After talking to P Opal and reading the Bible I realized I am not crazy, that this feeling comes from Jesus. I asked P Opal to mentor me so I could learn more about Jesus and am now attending church.

I know that Jesus is with me all the time. He looks after me and protects me with His love. I feel so good!
