Namwaan's Testimony

At church I attended a Bible study and afterwards Opal talked to me about Jesus before asking me if I wanted to accept Him. I said “yes” but at that time I was not really serious; I just wanted to try something new. But after I prayed with Opal I felt free and like someone was taking care of me. This was in April 2005 and I have been learning a lot more about Jesus since then. I still come to The Centre, church and discipleship house where I get to learn more about Christ through the staff at The Centre and people at church. Joy is even discipling me. I feel like Jesus is teaching me more about what is right and what is wrong. God also teaches me about loving other people. I am so happy when I can help them or give them a gift. I know that God is with me all the time. When I think about God I feel like He is smiling for me all the time. I have peace and I am so happy to follow Jesus! |

My name is Namwaan. I am 20 years. Right now, I am studying at Chiang Mai University. When I was young I thought that Christianity was just a religion for foreigners, but when I got to study at The Centre I heard both Thai and foreigners giving their testimony at Friday Night Party. It made me realize that Christianity isn’t just for foreigners. I also felt like Christians were different from other people. They seemed so happy and fulfilled because of God. It really made me want to know more about God, so when Wor invited me to Chiang Mai Liberty Church I accepted.
