I grew up in a Buddhist family, but when I was young, I studied at a Christian school. This was the first time I heard about God, but at that time I did not have a relationship with God. When I got older, I went to Buddhist High School and University, so I did not about Jesus or Christianity very much. When I was a junior in university, I came to study at The Centre. I always heard the staff talk about going to church, and I was interested in learning more about Jesus.
One Sunday, I asked if I could go with them. When I was at church, I felt very happy but I did not understand why. Later they asked me if I would like to accept Jesus Christ into my heart. I said yes, and I realized that I was happy because God was real. After that, Clair discipled me and taught me more about Jesus and my faith. Right away, I knew God had a plan for me.
I came to work here in The Centre part-time before I graduated. After I finished school, I came here to work full-time. I thought I’d stay at The Centre for only a year, but God gave me a vision for a discipleship house. In my vision, I saw Thai people and foreigners living together and sharing the love of Christ in everyday life. Even though I had this vision, I was scared to leave my parents. But God told me clearly, “No, you have to stay!” Sometimes I did not want to follow God’s plan, but God was faithful and His plan for me still came to pass. When I moved into the discipleship house, God taught me many things—both through living in the house and working in The Centre.
I have been working here now for almost two years, and I am discipling a girl just like Clair discipled me. To me, The Centre is not just a place to hear and accept the Gospel. It is also a place of discipleship where people can grow in their faith. The Centre is such an encouragement to me because I can see that God is faithful and loves me everyday through the staff, the teams, and the students.
