The Centre Staff

Opal
Opal - Team Captain
Opal started coming to The Centre to study in 2003 and became a Christian because of the ministry in May 2003. She has been volunteering ever since until May 2005 when she came on staff as our Team Caption.

“The Centre is a good place to work because I can serve God and tell my friends about Jesus. I feel called to full-time ministry and this is a good place to start.”

Jennifer
Jennifer - Ministry Coordinator
Jennifer heard about The Centre through some friends and while praying felt God calling her to be a part of the ministry. She arrived in January 2006 and will be here for two years. Jennifer is serving as our Ministry Coordinator. Her favorite verse is:

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." -Acts 20:24

Wor
Wor - Student Liason
Originally from Chiang Rai, Wor became a Christian 3 years ago while attending university.  She walked away from God and then came back into a relationship with him while taking an English class at The Centre.  In April 2006, Wor started working at The Centre as Student Liason.

“The Centre has been a ministry training field for me. I have grown so much in my spiritual life and I have learned many things, especially how to love others. Working at The Centre allows me to see the needs of other people and how much they need God in their lives.”

Cory

Cory – Team Coordinator
Cory, originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, took two short term trips to Chiang Mai serving at the Centre. Since then God has led him back and he is now here serving long term aiding in English classes and working with the short term teams that want to bless the Centre.

“God is really moving here at the Centre. It is amazing how open Thai students are to the gospel message. I am excited that God has called me to be a part of His movement here.”

Kris

Kris – Head of Curriculum
Kris is from Ontario, Canada. She came to Chiang Mai in April 2007. She was first introduced to the Centre through a friend who was teaching English at the Centre. She began to spend time with the students at the Centre and taught a few English classes. In January, 2008 she joined the Centre team in the position Head of Curriculum.

“It’s like a big family here… Students are loved, encouraged and accepted! God’s love is shared without reserve!!!”

Ning Ning – Manager of The Coffee Level
Ning originally came to the Centre to learn English, but in November of 2007 she became the manager of the newly opened Coffee Level.

“I like working with God and sharing with the students about how good He is. I love to come to the Centre because I am always growing spiritually.”

Bay Bay
Bay is from Chiang Mai, Thailand and is a graduate from RMUTL. He heard from a friend about the ministry that The Centre was doing and decided to check it out. In October, 2007 he started working as a volunteer and will begin full time work soon aiding in English classes and working with the short term teams that want to bless the Centre.

“The Centre is one of the places that I can see God move. The Centre is great at providing English to those who want to learn. Through this they have been able to share the gospel to many students. I have seen a lot of students come to Christ through this ministry. That has really encouraged me.”

Krista Krista
Krista is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She heard about an opportunity to serve at The Centre and jumped on board. She arrived in Chiang Mai in February, 2008 and is now working at the Coffee Level and helping with the evening activities.

“I like to see the students get excited when they play games at our Friday Night Parties. I feel like that’s one of the best times and I can really get to know who they are.”
